Allergen screening in early summer

Mother earth awakes with everything blooming from spring. This season is also the high season when respiratory allergies like Cough, Sinus Irritation, Throat Irritation, etc is common.

-Respiratory allergy

Particularly in Japan, it has been reported the existence of a lot of  allergens.  For example, Pollens, Yellow sand & PM2.5 from the Eurasian continent, Pets, Plants and/or Floral decorations, Renovation, Paint job, etc that might/ or can trigger an allergic reaction. Airway allergies or airway hyper-reactivity happens when your reaction to one or various stimulating factors (physical, chemical, allergens, or sports, etc) is strong thus resulting in premature airway contraction.  Airway contraction will bring-on symptoms such as persistent coughing, tightness of the chest, breathing difficulties and wheezing, etc. It is also the first sign of Asthma that can develop and/or worsen over our growing years.

-What should you take note?

it is recommended that you observe a light diet that is low in food proteins when your body is having an allergy attack. Adequate rest and reduction of stress will also improve your condition and reduce the duration of your allergy attack.

-Medical support

Whenever you are suspected to have any allergic reaction by your doctor judging from symptoms, Having allergen screening is recommended because it is one of the most effective ways of identifying what you might be allergic to thus helping you to prevent an allergy attack nevertheless negative results of your past allergen screening test, there is some possibility of having the new allergen.

There are also medications that your doctor can prescribe for you to manage your allergic conditions, eg: Antihistamine, Dilators, Nebulizer, etc A medical consultation with your family doctor is recommended.
